Looking for the Post-Holiday event? Well, whip out that credit card and come down to Memphis and celebrate Elvis Presley’s Birthday with the rest of his fans.
Tickets are available November 15th unless you’re one of the privileged “Elvis Insider” with a membership number you can get your tickets on November 9th.
It’s a 3 day celebration in honor of the King with many events catering to all things Elvis!
Thursday January 5th
The celebration begins with the Graceland Trivia Tour at 4:30pm. Tour the Mansion and Auto Museum while answering Elvis trivia with answers found throughout the tour. Admission: $31 for adults, $15 children 12 and under, 6 and under free.
Party it up with other Elvis fans at Club Elvis located at the Elvis Presley Auto Museum. Open bar and Elvis Presley music being spun by a DJ. Party starts at 8pm and ends at 12am. $25 admission.
When the party is over, (is that possible?) head over to the Chrome Grille Restaurant for a Southern Birthday Breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, grits, biscuits and beverage from 11:59pm to 1:30am.
Friday January 6th
It’s the Fan Club President Event held at the Memphis Marriot from 10am to 12pm. Guest speaker is former keyboardist of the King, Mr. Shane Keister, sharing some of his favorite moments with the King.
At 7pm it’s the Official Elvis Insider Reception and Graceland Tour. The tour goes on until 10pm and features autograph session with world famous gospel group The Stamps Quartet.
Saturday January 7th
Supercharge your day with the inspirational talents of The Stamps and Soul City at the Gospel Concert Celebration at the Graceland Ticket Pavillion from 8am to 9:15am. Admission $25.
Keep the energy going with a concert from singer/songwriter/actor Terry Mike Jeffery. Rockin’ from 11am to 1pm.
Head back to the Memphis Marriot East for discussions on Elvis, past present and future with The Stamps, CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises Jack Soden and more of those who knew the King. Admission is $20.
A special concert of Elvis Presley music will be presented by the Memphis Philharmonic Orchestra and Terry Mike Jeffery and his band starting at 8pm at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts. Free admission.
Sunday January 8th
Finishing up the festivities with the Elvis Presley Day ceremony at 9:30am. A commencement ceremony by Memphis officials and Elvis Presley Enterprises representatives will be followed by the cutting of the Birthday Cake.
Ongoing throughout the celebration are tours of Graceland and the property and also Elvis Bingo across the street at Heartbreak Hotel.
