Elvis Presley is such an iconic musical artist that he has gotten really larger than life in so many ways. Another indication of his undying fame is the large amount of fictional fans of Elvis. Screenwriters, playwrights, and novelists alike know to draw upon being a fan of Elvis as a way to reveal profound and fun things about a character. Here are some you may know, and here are some fictional Elvis fans you may have never heard of before.

In her first film role, a very young Reese Witherspoon played the role of Dani in The Man In The Moon. Dani is a major Elvis Presley fan. She plays his music nonstop, speaks of her love for him, and kisses her pillow while his music plays. “I love Elvis so much,” she confesses in her charming, southern twang. It’s an unforgettable coming of age film with numerous Elvis references from the young fan. Dakota Fanning also played a young Elvis fan in the controversial 2007 film, Hounddog.

 

In the world of television, few fans are as devoted as Jesse Katsopolis, more commonly known as Uncle Jesse, on Full House. Whole episodes focus on this as a subplot. He goes to Hawaii and just wants to see the Elvis landmarks, and he even envisions an Elvis-themed wedding while planning his nuptials with Rebecca. Best of all, he performs Elvis songs, and does them justice. John Stamos, who plays Jesse, is very talented musically and sometimes tours with the Beach Boys.
